My Go-To On-Air Makeup Products

IMG_0506.jpeg

Growing up a competitive dancer, I’ve been wearing eyelashes and “Ruby Woo” MAC lipstick for as long as I can remember! There is something different about on-camera makeup, so I’ve figured out my go-to products for my “video shoot day” routine. My criteria is that is has to last all day, look as natural as possible and doesn’t look cakey or oily on-camera. Seems easy right? After lots of trial and error, here is a list of products I use! Be sure to read ‘til the end, I’ll also be including some of my favorite tips and tricks I’ve learned from the pros.

Before I break down all of the individual products, you’ll notice that most of them are from MAC Pro. All on-camera talent is eligible to apply for a MAC Pro Discount! You can submit your application here. Upon being accepted, you’ll receive a MAC Pro card to use online and in MAC stores.

I always start with eye makeup! That way if there’s fallout under my eyes, I can wipe it away and there’s less cleanup.

EYE MAKEUP PRODUCTS

  1. Eyelid Primer - Laura Mercier “Caviar Stick Eyeshadow”

  2. Eye Shadow - Z Palette & MAC Single Shadows

  3. Eyebrow Pencil - e.l.f. “Cosmetics Instant Life Brow Pencil” in Blonde

  4. Eyebrow Gel - Maybelline Great Lash “Washable Mascara”

  5. Bottom Lash Liner - MAC “Matte Eye Pencil” in Teddy

  6. Top Liner - Maybelline “Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner” in Blackest Black

TIP #1: I always wait until the glue is tacky before applying the false lashes. Once they dry, I use an eyelash curler to curl the false lashes in with my real lashes to blend them together and then I apply mascara.
